Coed Varsity Cross Country · Wootton XC – County Championship Meet Summary October 21, 2017

What a Saturday at the County Championships!  Wootton excelled yesterday with great success in all races!
Congratulations to everyone – I have yet to count the number of PR’s, but I know there were a number of breakout races due to all the kids hard work, competitiveness, and gutsy running.  It was a great day, congratulations everyone!
Here are team results:
G 9/10 race :  1st overall!! – Emma Helgeson 1st overall, and Angela Parra 2nd overall
B 9/10 race:  1st overall!! – Scott Sritharan 1st overall
G 11/12 race:  1st overall!! – Veronica Schuermann 1st overall, Hannah Boyd 2nd overall
B 11/12 race:  2nd overall!
G Varsity:  2nd Overall – Congratulations to Jessica Trzeciak, 5th place medal, and Adna Trakic, 8th place medal
B Varsity:  2nd overall – Congratulations to John Riker for 5th overall and the fastest full 5k ever run by a Wootton athlete!
We are so proud of all of you… It has been a great year so far and I am sad to see the regular season come to an end.  We are still not done though and have a post season to think about.  I hope that even those who don’t continue racing in the post season will still come support the team at regions and state.  We are a team and everyone contributes!
Congratulations again on a great County Meet and thank you to all the parents, fans and alumni for coming to support the Patriots!
Thank you,
Coach Redmond
