Thomas S Wootton High School
The Thomas S. Wootton Junior Varsity baseball team lost their first game of a day/night double header against a solid Blair Blazers junior varsity baseball team. The Patriots came out strong early and scored three early runs led by two singles by Nick Siegel, who went2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, and Greg Urovsky, who also went 2 for 4 and threw out three runners trying to steal second. The Blazers chipped away and scored runs consistently in the next few innings, but Harrison Cance limited the damage and kept the Patriots in the game by pitching a solid five plus innings. Trey Wilson came in and pitched the final two innings. The Patriots battled and tried to stage a dramatic comeback in the seventh inning when they scored two runs and loaded the bases with one out, but were unable to push the tying and winning runs across the plate.
