Game Recap

On Wednesday, March 23, the Thomas S. Wootton Junior Varsity baseball team lost to the Chrurchill Bulldogs by a score of 6 to 5. The Patriots were shut down early, but Greg Urovsky kept the Patriots in the game by pitching four and two-third solid inning and holding the Bulldogs to 6 runs over this time. Ben Bowman came in and finished the fifth inning and pitched a scoreless sixth. The Patriot comeback was in full effect during the fifth when Nick Siegel who had a big one out, two RBI single. Ethan Reff followed this hit in the fifth inning with a 2 RBI double. The comeback feel short when the Patriots we able to load the bases in their last at bat, but were only able to push one run across the plate to just fall short in their first game of the season.
