Game Recap

The 2017 version of the JV Lady Patriots got off to a solid start Saturday night despite missing four players due to injury or travel. After a quick goal by Rebecca Y., Poolesville utilized their counter-striking ability to even things up fairly quickly. Leah S. gave Wootton the lead 2-1 but again, Poolesville leveled things before the half. The second half saw the Lady Patriots score three unanswered goals; one more each for Rebecca and Leah (both of whom added one assist each) and a first for Camila P. (who also finished with two assists). Lainey M. and co-captain Alexa F. added assists of their own. The young defense held on and was supported by second half goalie Sarah L. who made two critical saves. Wootton travels next to St. John’s as part of a a three games in five days stint.
