This weekend we had two Indoor School Records in the jumps.

Senior Dominic Chow set a huge Personal Best in the Triple Jump this weekend to break a Wootton Indoor School Record. Dominic jumped 42 feet and 5 inches. That’s roughly the width of most classrooms!!! Dominic also jumped 19-10.5 in the Long Jump, which is #2 all time.

Sophomore Keith Cartwright also broke his own School Record in the Long Jump with a leap of 20 feet, 3 and 3/4 inches.

Ambrose Devine also had an excellent weekend, leading off the 4x200m Relay to a season best time of 1:38. He then made the finals in the 55m Hurdles with a time of 8.57, a 0.4 second personal best. This time is #5 all time for a Wootton Athlete. Next up was the 300m where he ran 38.7 which is #6 all time for Wootton Indoor Track. Lastly he ran the 4x400m dash where the team set a season best of 3:50.

On the girls side Gwen Klein, Erin Chelf, and Emma Henderson all set season bests in their Distance events but the star of the show was Sophmore Lucia Splittgerber who set a 12 second personal best in the 800 to run a shocking 2:41. Great job Lucia.

Lastly, a huge shout out to Matthew Klein who ran a 15 second season best and a 10 second personal best to run 4:53 in the 1600. This is his first time going sub 5 and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season goes for him.
